Re: Missing entries for "Bad content detected"

Temporary workaround while I fix the upstream code:

/etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf

Code: Select all

Ignore Denial of Service = yes

Re: how to bypass the filtering of incoming emails from a specific external relay

Interesting, I don't have internal_networks defined but mine seems to work. Not sure why though. According to the documentation if internal_networks is not set, then internal_networks is supposed to default to trusted_networks. "If trusted_networks is set and internal_networks is not, the value of t...

Re: how to bypass the filtering of incoming emails from a specific external relay

That should be working if your shortcircuit plugin is enabled.

Maybe run sa-update?

Re: MailScanner: No programs allowed

Would someone take a look at this PR https://github.com/MailScanner/v5/pull/556 and set the following in MailScanner.conf:

Code: Select all

Archive: Ignore DAT File Executable = yes

Re: how to bypass the filtering of incoming emails from a specific external relay

Yes, you can. Probably the easiest way would be simply to add the domain to your allow/white list:

From: default
To: example.org

Re: Round bracket on new line and broken email

That sure does look strange. So, that would be happening here, and I think maybe it is a 3rd call to this sub since you seem to have ended up with two Received: on the same line. It seems you are getting different hostnames passed with each call, oddly enough. /usr/sbin/MSMilter:154 sub helo_callbac...

Re: Detected and have disarmed denialofservice tags in HTML message

Possible workaround for this crude detection of DOS: /etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf Ignore Denial Of Service = yes This doesn't solve the problem but it does keep messages from getting quarantined. As for getting to the root cause, can anyone determine if any thing else stands out in any logs. Si...

Re: Changing SpamAssasin default filter scores

You will want to modify the rule in /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf to override the rule instead of editing directly.

Re: Domain not found

This usually indicates a problem with DNS. Are you able to resolve the domain's A and MX records from the applicance?

An SA score of 0 is concerning. Is SpamAssassin working?

Re: Too many emails blocked tagged with spam since spamassassin update

On second thought....

1.27 RDNS_NONE Delivered to internal network by a host with no rDNS

These senders are breaking a basic rule of email that a reverse dns record must be present. If you want these emails you should consider adjusting your scores for these senders.

Re: Help! Limited network access and Version 4

Yeah, razor is trying to register with upstream servers during initialization. In your situation, you are going to need to edit /usr/sbin/eFa-Commit and comment out the offending lines (740-760) before running the first time setup.
