Hi everyone
New to EFA, seems like a great project. Two issues I need help with please.
1) When I receive email from a domain/email, it can take up to an hour for that email to filter from Internet > EFA > Exchange on the first time around, afterwords it seems to go quickly. I have disabled greylisting however the result stays the same. If I go directly from Internet > Exchange my email comes through instantly so is there something else on EFA I need to configure?
2) Secondly, Ive setup the send connectors on exchange to forward mail to the EFA server, however they never seem to enter the mail que. Is there something else I must allow on EFA first beforehand? I did set the domain it should allow for under the Transport rules. Thanks in advance.

Re: Receiving Mail Delay & Not Receiving From Exchange
Have you tried restarting EFA and/or postfix, just to see if maybe that helps?
Also, if you watch /var/log/maillog, you might find some useful information there about what is happening.

Re: Receiving Mail Delay & Not Receiving From Exchange
I have restarted the server, same story. New mail takes a while to filter through. Once its in, next time I send the mail it seems to pretty quick. As mentioned Greylisting is disabled.
As for the /var/log/maillog, are you suggesting I use this to check out why im not receiving emails from my exchange? Seems strange I can send from EFA to exchange 2010 but not back to EFA. This is whats leading me to think theres a config file im missing.

Yeah, if you watch the maillog, it may help with both issues. It would at least confirm whether the messages are hitting postfix from your Exchange.
Re: Receiving Mail Delay & Not Receiving From Exchange
Ok thanks that did help, It ends up I didnt add exchange to 8) Mail Settings > 1) Outbound Mail Relay. I am now receiving messages from exchange to PFA. Thats one down, any other idea on the delay in email the first time around>?

Re: Receiving Mail Delay & Not Receiving From Exchange
Can you send a message inbound and watch the maillog, see if postfix is queuing it up properly the first time and that MailScanner is scanning it right away?
Re: Receiving Mail Delay & Not Receiving From Exchange
I had a few other people send me test emails. It seems to have fixed itself, whatever it was causing the delay. Thaks for the assistance. The only feedback I can give is maby upgrade your wiki/how-to too something more user friendly, for a new person like myself it wasnt a cut and dry setup process, I had to go do research. Otherwise, all good

Re: Receiving Mail Delay & Not Receiving From Exchange
My first guess would have been that you didn't restart the MailScanner process after disabling greylisting.
As for the delay, were the emails getting delayed coming from outlook.com, or another large provider like that?
