[Revised] Modify link that EFA sends out to release or report spam

Post by tech101 »

Modifying this slightly. I think changing the port that the web server answers up on is fairly simple. Can do it easily in Webmin. Any thoughts on changing the URL that is sent out to release and report spam? I'd want to add the correct TCP port number.

Thanks in advance.

Have EFA up and running. Definitely a useful tool. Tremendous positive impact on the amount of spam no longer hitting my mail server.

Anyone have any ideas on how to change the port the Web Server is responding to from something other than 80 and 443? I don't have those ports available and need to switch to something else. Or at the very least, change the port number on the link thats sent out to release spam to something other than 80 or 443, and I can just do some port forwarding.

Thanks in advance...

Yeah, you can change the port manually.

1) Change it in apache
2) Add the port # to the links in the mailscanner reports
3) May be other places I'm not thinking of, but nothing major

If you need step-by-step instructions, please let me know.

Thank you so much Shawn. Changing the Apache port seems fairly straight forward. I guess it's the reports part I need to figure out. Hoping to update the URL in the email links that EFA sends out to reflect the updated TCP port number.

Very grateful for the response and feedback.

Best Regards,
Chris
