Is it possible?
Is it possible?
Hello, I'm in the process of setting up everything, and so far, I'm quite pleased with eFa. I do have a quick question, though. Occasionally, an unmistakable spam email manages to bypass eFa completely without appearing in the Recent Messages list, ending up in my inbox. These emails seem to be completely "off the radar." I verified in the email header that it's for a recipient domain I added using Shell, so it should be in Recent Messages. eFa is successfully scanning emails to this domain and flagging many as spam, so I know it's largely functional. Is this a known intermittent issue, and is there anything I can do about it? Could it be possible that two emails arrive simultaneously, causing one not to be checked?
Re: Is it possible?
There is a technique that has been exploited recently where messages can be bundled and one sneaks through.
There should be an update for postfix to catch this soon.
Also make sure that there is no way that someone can send mail directly to your mailserver from the internet, bypassing the eFa appliance.
Best way to do that is to set a firewall rule on the mail server that only allows inbound SMTP from the eFa appliance.
