Hi, folks, I'm new to EFA. I downloaded, installed and configured EFA 3.0.0.5 (updating to 3.0.0.6 now), but it rejected every single message, by default. The Beginners Setup Guide (including the Initial and Post Configuration pages) on the Wiki were not enough to get me up and running. I'd really like to use EFA, as it seems to be very powerful and effective, but I just don't know how to configure it.
I'm not a Linux SME, but I know my way around it. Are there any top-to-bottom tutorials for setting up EFA to work with Exchange Server 2013, so that it sends SPAM-free and virus-free email for valid email addresses through to the Exchange server? I saw a few articles on integrating EFA with AD, and that helped me import the users; however, messages to the defined users and email addresses were still getting rejected. Additionally, I couldn't figure out how to import all SMTP addresses (e.g. I have name@domain.tld, as well as dad@domain.tld, but the AD integration only seems to have pulled in name@domain.tld). I saw some articles alluding to a recipient_access file, but I couldn't find any information on creating the file or modifying the existing, 0-byte file.
I've had to disable EFA, so I'm getting slammed by SPAM and malicious content. Can someone please help a noob get EFA up and running?
Thank you all!
Need QuickStart Guide for EFA
Re: Need QuickStart Guide for EFA
As I don't have an exchange server available for testing/screenshots etc I can't make the documentation for it.
But I hope someone who has these is willing to add this to the wiki.

You do have to set up Exchange to accept mail from the EFA. I don't have the specifics here, but I'll take a look at prior posts and see if I can help.
Here's some links that might be useful.

Take a look at this post also, there's some info on setting up a recipients list in postfix for Exchange.

Re: Need QuickStart Guide for EFA
Good afternoon,
Did you ever get a chance to create an Exchange How-to? I am running Exchange 2013 and have never been able to make inbound mail work. Outbound works great, but no luck with inbound. A how-to focused on Exchange would be fantastic.
My thanks.

Hi Rickster,
I'm using 2007 and all I did was point the EFA to the ip address of my exchange server. I didn't have to configure anything under exchange for incoming mail, other than the normal configuration for having exchange server accept mail in the first place.
What problem are you having exactly?
