EFA and mailscanner

Hi
Im totally new to EFA but it seems like a great Product! (havent tested it yet tho)
I got a question on how the mailscanner gets the AV definitions.
is it possible to download the AV definitions files offline and move them to the EFA host with a USB or other device?
For my enviroment i only want the Email filtering (block filetypes) and the Anti-virus scanning to be used, is there any possiblity to completely turn of the spamfilter?
If the above is possible, im definately testing it out!
