Some issues

Hi,
I’m working in a small company which provides IT support, consultant and helpdesk services.
There are about 20 clients(domains) that we filter their email and ESVA 2 did a good (not great) job.
Now we moved to EFA 3 and so far we are very pleased.
I have some questions:

1. How do I setup where to send the quarantine report?
2. Can I access the web management console via HTTPS?
3. We are located in Israel and when a email has a subject in Hebrew in the Recent Messages page it shows "?????????????" or this
"FW: î áø ðâã àéãéàéé áéèåç äåãòä òì áéöåò îñéøä ìôøéâ". Anything I can do to show Hebrew correctly?
4. I installed EFA as a VM on ESXI 5.5. Why do i need VMTools and how to install it?

Great job with EFA 3.
Thank you very much.

1. The quarantine report goes to each recipient that has Send Daily Reports enabled in MailWatch under the User Management.

2. Yep, you can. There's an option in EFA-Configure to set up HTTPS.

3. MailWatch appears to not be using Unicode. I will do some research here and see if this can be improved.

Thanks for your reply.
I didn't setup users, only transport mappings that point to clients external ip.
i am new to all the Linux stuff. can you guide me how to get to User Management and to EFA-Configure?
Thanks again.

4.

If you chose to install open-vm-tools, then you are all set.

If not, you can install vmware-tools using VMware.

For menny:

Question: 1. How do I setup where to send the quarantine report?
Anwser:

You MUST define a user in the mailwatch's user manager in order to let him receive the report via email.
Otherwise mailscanner has no way to figure out him, without user assigned mailscanner treat it has "child" of the domain user, if you define it.

Hello, shawniverson!

Did you find the time to check the unicode issue? I work for an Italian company and, in all the messages, i get lots of question marks in place of "è", "é", "à", "ì", and so on...

Before EFA i was using a combination of RBL in HMailServer and spamassassin, and this was not happening.

I really hope this can be fixed, i really like EFA very much as it is proving very effective against spam.

Bump!

Please, help. The unicode issue is really relevant for people using languages different from english.

Looks like the problem affects only plain text messages, sparing the HTML ones. Is there a solution?

Thank you!

Any news on the Unicode issue? I saw the issue was solved in the latest Mailwatch version
