I have iredmail installed on my server and working great, but problem is alot of spam.
Don't know exactly how efa works I check for it but didn't find any good info.
Can someone please explain to me how efa works or give me some link.
And how to implement efa to existing installation of iredmail.
Thank you.

eFa requires a dedicated instance. It probably cannot be installed in the same instance as iRedMail.
That said, you can check out this forum and the wiki for helpful information.

Is this efa standalone mail server or just spamfilter which can be used with external postfix?
I see some users use ti with iRedmail, is there any howto do that?

EFA is a standalone mail gateway. It's purpose is to filter all incoming and outgoing mail in order to reduce the amount of spam sent/received.
In your case, you'd continue to use iRedMail and configure it to use a dedicated EFA instance as your smarthost. You'd then configure your mail delivery to deliver to EFA, then EFA to deliver to your iRedMail instance.
