I have a situation where a user deleted approx 30 emails from about the last month or so from his inbox (and deleted them from the trash). I can see the messages in the EFA search/reports area and can bring them up and read the message. I am trying to re-release them to his inbox and I am getting an error:

Release: error code 75 returned from Sendmail: sendmail: fatal: user@mydomain.com(48): Recipient addresses must be specified on the command line or via the -t option postdrop: warning: stdin: unexpected EOF in data, record type 78 length 76 postdrop: fatal: uid=48: malformed input

Is this something I can do or is this not possible?

You might try toggling QUARANTINE_USE_SENDMAIL off and delivering as an attachment instead. This settting is located in /var/spool/mailscanner/conf.php

I tried that, well I couldn't find that setting in /var/spool/Mailscanner, but I did find it in /var/www/html/mailscanner I edited the conf.php from true to false on the QUARANTIE_USE_SENDMAIL setting. I released the message and still am getting an error:

Result Messages: Release: error (Validation failed for: )
Error Messages: Y

Any other ideas?

I'm not sure why but your missing information in these emails. You may have to grab the contents from /var/spool/MailScanner/quarantine.
