unbound - old version?

I was attempting to implement some of the TLS options in unbound and noticed the system has v1.6.6, but the latest version is v1.10.1. I did a "yum update", but it showed no packages needing updates.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature
Would there be any problems/concerns w/ manually updating unbound to v1.10.1?
