Plugins page updated

Post by nicola.piazzi » 19 Jun 2017 13:23

The page is now updated with new plugins and updated old, here an explanation :

SPF and DKIM are useful to know when an incoming email domain is not spoofed, unfortumately not all people use it
I found that using both is possible to hit about 55% of incoming emails.
Mxpf is a way to find more legitimate senders also if they not use spf or dkim
Mxpf search if the mail come from a server that is in the same C class of mx record for domain to legitimate
This extend hit from 55% to 75%

In addiction to mxpf here is asnpf that search if incoming mailserver ip belongs to the same service provider (asn) of an mx record of the domain.
This can increase hit from 75% to 92%

Ow is a plugin that give bonus to people that you wrote in the past
It identify them using a table where it records your outgoing messageid and outgoing mail address, for this reason it can be used only in systems where spamassassin see also outgoing emails
This plugin use also mxpf and asnpf is installed
Initially it can his an half of incoming traffic after few hours and after 20 days it can hit about 80 - 90%

I dont use this in email legitimating but i found this can be very useful to give bonus to good emails
When you receive this make a query to see if in past days (maillog) this c class sent other emails for declared domain
It not look at the number of incoming emails but the number of days, this is configurable in .cf file
In conjuncion with FREEMAIL_FROM it can hit a lot of ham, i see that about 95% of incoming mail hit by this rule is ham.
