EFA upgrade to SSL & Backup on Hyper-V

EFA on Windows 2012 & Hyper-V
Sometimes last year we upgraded EFA to a newer build and at this point it became necessary to https://
instead of http://
Since then we have 2 issues
(1) with single IP available cannot access EFA since Exchange uses this for OWA etc
we can use internal IP to get around this.
Problem is mobile users can't access EFA !
is there a workaround ?
(2) also after this upgrade Online backup of EFA does NOT work
In order to backup EFA we need to shut it down
This is becoming more and more inconvenient
We are using BackupAssist
Prior to this update it was possible to backup EFA whilst running
Any way to ensure EFA can be backed up
(No Patches or updates applied on the Windows 2012 server)
