slow user login with Active Directory

We have a problem that has shown up over the last week where user logins to the web interface have started to take up to a minute and sometimes longer. There is no unusually high CPU usage or load on the machine when this is happening. It actually happens on almost every screen switch. Status bar of the browser will have: Waiting for httpd://xxxxx.xx.xxx/mailscanner/checklogin.php or logout.php or reports.php. I am not sure where to look for troubleshooting this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Phil

Following up with more information. I don't think it has anything to do with Active Directory. I increased the memory to 8GB for the virtual appliance and cleaned up a duplicate SHOW_GREYLIST entry in the conf.php. It is now much better than it was but still taking about 10 to 15 seconds to switch between pages as a user. Thanks for any advice that may point me in the right direction.

Did you have an issue beforehand that caused the database to grow large?
