Auto forwarded mail cannot be released

Post by GJurriens »

Hi,

I'm running into a problem.
I have some externail mail accounts directly forwarding mail to an internal mail account (this does not update the subject with FW).
Mail that is caught into quarantine cannot be released to for those accounts, but it can be released if it is directly sent to an internal account.
Also, I can manually release that kind of mails to an alternate recipient if that is internal.

Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this.
Users are missing mail because of this (they can't release the mail themselves).

Thank you all for your help.

Hi,

I am a new EFA-user and very impressed of what you have done.
But I have a similar problem:
EFA is running in front of my exchange server (example account: mail@exchange.com)
I have an external mail account mail@forward.com, that is forwarded to mail@exchange.com.
When spam is sent to mail@forward.com , the mail is forwarded to mail@exchange.com and EFA blocks it and sends an {Spam not delivered} mail to mail@exchange.com from postmaster@exchange.com
When I click the link in the {Spam not delivered} mail I get the info, that the mail is released.
In fact the mail is released to mail@forward.com by apache@exchange.com. As my exchange doesn't accept mails to forward.com the mail is rejected.
When releasing the mail in the MailWatch webinterface then the mail ist released by postmaster@exchange.com to mail@exchange.com and everything is fine. As the other exchange-accounts don't have access to the webinterface this option is not available to them.
How to fix the release-spam-link in the mail footer to send the mail to the forwarded receipient and not the original one?

Thanks in advance!
Marc
