RBL Not Checking All Mail Servers

Running EFA 3.0.0.9. It appears that not all of the mail severs in the message header are being checked in my RBLs. Is that true? Is there a way to configure it? The problem is the connecting mail server is not listed but the next hop down is. Maybe there is something more efficient than scanning all addresses I'm not taking into consideration. Thanks in advance.
