is there any way to reset the ROOT password ?

I can login as Admin, (which I normally use on a day to basis) but not root !

Without root I can't update the system

I'm running a VM on Vmware

Can I perhaps boot of a Live CD of some sort and ??
if so which & what to do ?

Does Kon-Boot work on CentOS?

Changing root password should have no effect on the function of the EFA appliance.

You can boot in single user mode at the console and reset root from there.
