Black and White List

Post by curibe »

When I set something on the blacklist or whitelist. it does not save. Why is this happening?

Dear curibe,

Just take some time and take a look at your question. The best possible answer on this would be 42. :ugeek:
I guess you should add some meaningful details or hope there are members that have divine powers.

Wait... I thought this forums was for members that have Devine Powers. lol.

My apologies for that. here is my issue.

In MailWatch, in the in the "Black and White Lists" tab. I tried to add an email address to the blacklist. when I click on Add, Nothing Happens. Tt still shows "no entries found" under "BlackList". this is the first time I add something to the blacklist on this EFA appliance. I do see IE wheel spin for 1/2 a second.

are there any logs on this I can provide on this subject let me know.

Hope this explains my issue a bit better.

I guess I'm giving the 42 answer to often these days, so I should apologize...

I assume ( I know not to use the word) you are using the latest EFA version and you log in with a user having the administrator user type?
So if you add info@vlanmail.be and leave the rest of the fields empty , check Blacklist and choose ADD, nothing happens?

Check the log files for info on errors in /var/log/httpd. It could be modsec related. Just search the forum on modsecurity, if it is.
I have quite a blacklist and few problems in adding black or whitelist entries.

Could be field validation. Can you give a specific example?

Sorry henk,

I understand your response now. I clearly was not having a divine day. It happens occasionally, but not being divine at that moment, I don't usually notice or remember.

curibe,

Some screenshots or examples would go a long way to help us get on the same page with you. I know it's clear in your mind, but mine's a little muddy at the moment.

I have managed to repeat the behavour.
You know what's the workaround. Use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet explorer.
