How to open quarantine Files

Post by JuergenA »

Hi all,

seems to be a very nice community here :) ... i started some Weeks ago using EFA. So it would be nice if i get some Help.
EFA work very fine for the moment.

I just have a little Question.
How can i open Files which are moved to /var/spool/MailScanner/quarantine/xxxxxxx ?

It happen sometime that a File moved to quarantine - which really is no "Bad File".
Example, some .PDF Files with very confusing Names. I can´t handle how the Customers send Mails with "crazy Names".

So i just need a Option to recover this Files or a way to forward it from the Quarantine directly to the Receipient.
Thanks for any Help.

If there is alread a Post with this Issue/Question, just please give me the Link. Searched before the Forum but found nothing. Thanks!

Blocked filenames and filetypes are not stored in the quarantine. Blocked literally means blocked. However, if the file happens to be there, your best bet is to look it up with the MailWatch GUI.

Ok. Is there another Way to say "dont block" files but add then the Warning.txt to the Mail for the Receipient?

Thanks.

Yes, you could use the rename operator instead of deny in the rules, for example. There's probably other ways of doing it too.
