EFA Project and Percona Server 5.6 - cannot upgrade

Post by hemi »

Hi,

I'm using Percona Server 5.6 (drop-in replacement for MySQL 5.6) with EFA Project.

Code: Select all

Server version: 5.6.35-81.0-log Percona Server (GPL), Release 81.0, Revision c96c427
Percona Server 5.6 has full support for utf8mb4 charactersets:

Code: Select all

mysql> show collation like 'utf8mb4%';

Is there any chance supporting more mysql versions or mysql forks than MariaDB 10? I know that Centos 6 is shipping only mysql 5.1 in standard repositories.

The direction MailWatch is planning to go is MariaDB. You will need to manually migrate to MariaDB to be able to update.
