Details about how report SPAM/HAM via signature works

Post by ovizii »

Hi there,

I'm very new to using this appliance but am wondering why the need to declare trusted networks from where these actions are allowed?

In my case, EFA is not sitting in front of a company email server but filters mails for a few customers of mine whose emails I host meaning, they will open their emails from mobile, from their ADSL connections at home and from anywhere else so I cannot declare any trusted network.

Any solutions? I would really like to allow users to fine tune the system by submitting HAM/SPAM via those links.

It is up to you whether you want to define a trusted network. Some EFA users do not want those links to work outside of the organization.

So if I do not define a trusted network the links will work from anywhere?

Thanks. I suggest adding that fact to the descriptive text to avoid this question in the future:
[EFA] Trusted Network Settings:

[EFA] Trusted networks are networks from which you want to accept
[EFA] spam submissions via the "Click here to report this message as spam"
[EFA] link. All other networks will receive a message indicating that
[EFA] submission is being attempted from an untrusted network.
btw. I emailed darky83 for a wiki account, I wouldn't mind adding the answers to all my questions to the Wiki :-)
