Time out when we receive messages

Hi,

When one of our customer sends us emails, he gets the following NDR message

This is the mail system at host smtp22.relay.ord1c.emailsrvr.com.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message.

Our EFA appliance faces the internet to pre-filter emails and then redirect the mail to our Exchange 2007 server.

I can see the connection initiated in the /var/log/maillog direrctory but I don't see the entry in the EFA log in the message list.

Is this cause my appliance is too slow to scan the emails? The average message size from this sender is from 15KB to 2MB. I cans send 25MB messages from my own hotmail account and it pass through.

Which logs should I check?

Sounds like the email isn't getting past postfix. I would start there.

I don't think your system has even attempted to scan the email in question yet, based on the information you have provided.

I also don't think size is the issue.

What is showing in the maillog?
