ClamAV and Spamassassin Versions

This is a quick note to new E.F.A. users on the status of ClamAV and Spamassassin.

ClamAV is version 0.98-2 latest version (of this writing) is 0.98.1
Spamassasssin is version 3.3.1 latest version (of this writing) is 3.3.2

These are not the most recent versions of these packages. We are aware of this. For the sake of getting E.F.A built in a timely manner we have opted to use the easy installation package found here:

We will plan on updating these packages in a later release of E.F.A.

looking around internet about same dropped email (from a good sender) I've have found resolution with new version.
EFA is build with a distro/Spamassassin version 3.3.1 and it's now "out of support"

Here the changelog... and the date of release.

- 2014-02-11: SpamAssassin 3.4.0 has been released adding native support for IPv6, improved DNS Blocklist technology and support for massively-scalable Bayesian filtering using the Redis backend. Visit the downloads page to pick it up, and for more info.
- 2011-06-16: SpamAssassin 3.3.2 has been released, a minor new release primarily to support perl-5.12 and later. Visit the downloads page to pick it up, and for more info.
- 2010-03-19: SpamAssassin 3.3.1 has been released, a minor new release which adds some new rules. Visit the downloads page to pick it up, and for more info.
- 2010-01-27: SpamAssassin 3.3.0 has been released, a major new release! Visit the downloads page to pick it up, and for more info.

From SpamAssassin download page there is this note "NOTE: This version is no longer supported" for the 3.3.2.

Is it possibile to update/upgrade to 3.4.0 or at least 3.3.2 or simple update "score" with new release?

I'm sure it's no simple...but using a "new project/appliance" with old spamassassin version/rules is not a good idea.

If this helps to lower the increase in spam levels getting through then you have my vote. I'm fed up with getting emails from Vietnam about non existent invoices, to site just one example.

In tests i'm working on it.

The issue is that upgrading seems to break a whole lot of other components so its a bunch of work trying to get things upgraded and working.
