Am I on a wild goose chase?

While researching options, I came across several threads from 2017-2019, leading me to believe that certain features were integrated and active in efa4. However, it appears these features aren't available right off the bat, and I haven't been able to locate any settings in the configuration to activate them. Am I on a wild goose chase, or are these features indeed built-in? If so, how can I enable them?
