LetsEncrypt cartbot install error

Post by bas60 »

Can't install LetsEncrypt Certificate
Suggestion to install Certificate manually also problem

When I run cartbot install --cert-name my.domain.com

[Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/log/letsencrypt/.certbot.lock'
Either run as root, or set --config-dir, --work-dir, and --logs-dir to writeable paths.

Bit stuck...NO ROOT password - disabled by EFA!
What do I use for the --config-dir et above?

I tried RE-INSTALLING Centos 8, EFA and running through the entire process

How can I fix this?

Should I be using another OS rather than Centos - if so which?

Possible Red Herring

Noticed on a new PC not getting the error in Chrome / Edge

So decided to check https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/

So it looks its been applied ok !

hope it helps someone !
