Hello,
Is it possible to upgrade from CentOS 6.1 to 7.x without breaking EFA?
Background: I have EFA-3.0.2.6 running on end-of-life CentOS 6.1. The VM works just great with 2GB RAM (low traffic) and I don't want to upgrade to 4.x due to its high RAM/CPU requirements (limited Host VM resources). I also want to avoid having to reconfigure custom setting from scratch. On the other hand I don't want to stay on unsupported OS.
Upgrade Centos 6 to 7 with EFA-3?
Re: Upgrade Centos 6 to 7 with EFA-3?
I have no problems with version 4. It just runs fine on 2GB ram.
Re: Upgrade Centos 6 to 7 with EFA-3?
I also noticed that CentOS 8 is EOL by end of the year. What is the roadmap? Can EFA work on Ubuntu 20 LTS?
Re: Upgrade Centos 6 to 7 with EFA-3?
Installing EFA on CentOS Stream 8 works perfectly.
and as long as you dont need/use the custom action - you really just need to copy over your rules and config files.

Re: Upgrade Centos 6 to 7 with EFA-3?
I think it would make sense to do a forklift upgrade on a stable and supported OS. Like Ubuntu LTS.
I hope there is a roadmap to move away from CentOS, now that RedHat treats it like a step child.
