What happens if you try to manually update?
Code: Select all
sudo freshclam

Re: ClamAV not updating after eFa 4.0.2
That is normal, the EPEL folks haven't updated the clam package yet, and that is not the same issue.
Re: ClamAV not updating after eFa 4.0.2
Thanks, will have some patience then
Re: ClamAV not updating after eFa 4.0.2
Ok,
so oddly enough the problem has gone away just like it came... I hate when that happens...
The output of sudo freshclam was nothing... the process seems to hang for some reason, I could not terminate even with kill... so I rebooted, then tried again - same result, so I rebooted again and then... poof... it's started to update
Two days later the updates are coming without a hitch.
So I will continue to monitor and report if anything brakes down again...

Re: ClamAV not updating after eFa 4.0.2
The situation just repeated itself... I can't get any updates from Tuesday afternoon. Right now my signatures are stuck to:
Version: ClamAV 0.101.5
Virus Identities: 25734
Database Timestamp: Tue Feb 25 16:06:17 2020
According to current.cvd.clamav.net this is not the latest sig.
Running manually /usr/share/clamav/freshclam-sleep does not produce any output, the process seems to hanging... When run by cron and attempted to terminate - goes defunct.
/var/log/freshclam.log is empty.
Running sudo freshclam, gives:

yum check-update - gives no updates available.
Reboot doesn't seems to solve the situation.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: ClamAV not updating after eFa 4.0.2
exec
or look in to see what and when yum updated.
efa auto-updates, unless you are henk , so don't jump to conclusions.
There will be new clamav versions on a regular basis, the new clamav will be installed automaticly when available in the repo.
Long story short, your efa is up to date
Code: Select all
grep -irHn 'clamd' /var/log/messages
Code: Select all
/var/log/yum.log

Re: ClamAV not updating after eFa 4.0.2
Thank you henk.
I know my efa is up to date - didn't doubt that I do realize that efa is relying on 3rd party repos such as EPEL, and yes I do realize that my clamav is not latest version - all of that is ok for me.
What I don't realize is why freshclam is screwing up... I think even with slightly older version clamav and it's update should work...
Anyway... here some output:
