yum update - short question
yum update - short question
Can I run 'yum upgrade' or better not?
Re: yum update - short question
Short answer: If you know where to put your hands if something goes wrong.. YES.
Generally speaking the only 2 problems i had were:
1) upgrading postfix cause change of spool dir permissions
2) upgrading clamav from one of the many alternative repos available cause the clamd compiled by EFA team to be replaced with the new one and thus you have also here permissions problem.
Said that, I STRONGLY suggest EFA Team to replace clamav with a repo friendly one.

Re: yum update - short question
ClamAV is the default and working version from repoforge, most of the time updates just work but we have seen permission issues here.
With every system update we will also do an update and we have tested it so you can also leave things like they are and let the system update it self (if you have auto update enabled).
(See your spam filter as an appliance, not as a normal server that you host and maintain yourself)
