Inquiry on the next release update

Post by dangsite »

Since the post: Next Major Release OS Version Survey 2020 (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4555) and EFA(5)/Debian post (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4866)

I know there is work progressing to port to another OS and I have seen posts to make it work on other systems.

Today my system is running eFa-4.0.4.

I did notice the following when I use option 13 (update):
Invalid configuration value: failovermethod=priority in /etc/yum.repos.d/eFa4.repo

The configuration wtihin is:

Code: Select all

[eFa4-CentOS]
name=eFa-Project
baseurl=https://dl.efa-project.org/rpm/eFa4/CentOS8/release
mirrorlist=https://dl.efa-project.org/rpm/eFa4/CentOS8/mirrors-eFa-centos8
failovermethod=priority
enabled=1
I am happy to help in any type of beta testing on the new version if you need that help, @shawniversion

Yeah the failovermethod=priority is no longer a thing. Error is benign, though.

I am working on CentOS 9 Stream and Debian 11. I must be some kind of madman trying to work, study, and do this stuff all at the same time. :roll:

In the meantime Almalinux 8 and Rockylinux 8 are supported now.
