Mailscanner: wa - what does it mean

Post by barbours »

Hi all,

When doing a ps -A I get the following output and I am trying to figure out what it means.

The command ps -A from terminal:
The output is:
26509 ? 00:00:01 MailScanner: wa
27655 ? 00:00:01 MailScanner: wa
32744 ? 00:00:01 MailScanner: wa

I have researched this quite a bit on google search, but I am not finding an answer that lets me rest comfortably. Can anybody provide some light on the output?

I am running EFA 4 with the latest update.
Dell T440 server with vmware.

Actual vmware server is:
2 CPU
32 Gigs RAM
300 Gigs drive space on 2 mirrored 1 terabyte solid state drives.

Thanks in advance. sb
