Hello!

Sometimes the EFA is blocking .xlsx files.
The message is: "MailScanner: No programs allowed"

How can I fix it?

Best regards: Péter

Hi,
check /etc/MailScanner/filename.rules.conf

BTW are you sure that those files are not *.xlsx.exe?

Did you resolve this. I seem to have a similar issue with a .txt file

Hi Peter,
the file contains definition for behavior based on the file extension.
This way you can define which file types are allowed to pass and which are not.

Would someone take a look at this PR https://github.com/MailScanner/v5/pull/556 and set the following in MailScanner.conf:

Code: Select all

Archive: Ignore DAT File Executable = yes

Hello!

Sorry the latest answer.
So, when the EFA blocking xlsx file, the complete message is: The message is: "MailScanner: No programs allowed (92000.dat)" or (90000.dat etc).
And really the xlsx content a few bytes size dat file.
I can rename xlsx to zip and I can see the xlsx contain a .dat file which was blocked.
