Mail adresses shown wrong in Outlook - Reply all not possible

Post by alexanderbrix »

Hello,
it's me again...

We just found another problem.

I got a mail and there were several external recipients in CC.
EFA shows the following:

Code: Select all

CC: Brix, Alexander <brix.alexander@<domain>.de>,
     <last name>, <first name> <<first name>.<last name>@<domain>.de>,
     <last name>, <first name> <<first name>.<last name>@<domain>.de>,
     <last name>, <first name> <<first name>.<last name>@<domain>.de>,
    <last name>, <first name> <<first name>.<last name>@<domain>.de>,

But Outlook shows like this:

Code: Select all

<last name>@<ourdomain>.de; First Name <last name>.<first name>@<domain>.de [etc.]

Code: Select all

example:
Müller@<ourdomain>.de; Hans <hans.mueller@google.de>; Wagner@<ourdomain>.de; Klaus <klaus.wagner@yahoo.de>; Gable@<ourdomain>.de; Clark <clark.gable@mail.de>

When we click on "Reply all" there are lots of non-delivery report because these recipients are not from our domain.
It's very difficult to explain while not being able to show screenshots of the real mail adresses because of data protection...

EDIT:
This is also shown in EFA:

Code: Select all

Spam Report:
Score	Matching Rule	Description
-1.00	ALL_TRUSTED	Passed through trusted hosts only via SMTP
-1.90	BAYES_00	Bayes spam probability is 0 to 1%
0.00	HTML_MESSAGE	HTML included in message
0.00	SPF_FAIL	SPF: sender does not match SPF record (fail)
2.51	SUSPICIOUS_RECIPS	Similar addresses in recipient list
0.01	T_FILL_THIS_FORM_SHORT	Fill in a short form with personal information
0.01	T_KAM_HTML_FONT_INVALID	Test for Invalidly Named or Formatted Colors in HTML

All the extra <> is unusual for an email. It looks like the CCs are missing a second '>'
