Enhance search on this forum

The search settings on your phpBB forums needs to be adjusted.

I did a search on "show current settings" and got:
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: current show settings.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.
Sure you want to keep CPU low on your server but this just gets silly.

In a world of TLA's, the more than 3 character search limit is frustrating in the extreme. I used to be a member of an ip.Board forum that had the same problem and also flood control on the searches that meant you had to wait 30 seconds before submitting a new search. The first thing I did when I got bumped up to an admin on the forum was to reset flood control to 5 seconds shortly followed by switching the search provider from ip.Boards internal search across to using Google as the default search provider.

On here and many other forums, I tend to use Google (or DuckDuckGo if I'm feeling more paranoid) and stick
site:forum.efa-project.org
in the search box along with the terms I'm searching on. Generally works well for my purposes.

I continue to use the "site:https://forum.efa-project.org/" trick to search. I find these searches to be more effective than the built in site searches.

I also just use google search or duckduck when needed, we allow full crawling from bots.

Don't want to incorporate google search on the site because of all the 'extra' cookies and loading of data from 3th party websites.
(when you add that we will also need to have a cookie notification because non-essential cookies are possible to comply with EU law, which I really, really, really hate...).
