Change of time out period

Post by maxkmv »

I know I mentioned this before (and you are probably sick of my requests!) - but could you make it possible to change time-out period in web interface?

I am a sysadmin and very well aware of security implications, but timing out every 2-5 mins is just too much! Especially it does this when I am right in the middle of checking my Blacklist report, or updating lists!

Thank you! Спасибо!

Update 3.0.2.2 pending....includes fixes for timeout issues.

Bear in mind after much testing and debate that the MailWatch project has settled on 10 minutes as the max idle timeout. This does not affect the status page or the queues, as they refresh by 30 seconds by default. So, the current recommendation is for users to default to the status page if they want to keep the session alive (which most admins will do).

However, the timeout will be dependent on the STATUS_REFRESH variable in conf.php. Therefore, you could extend the timeout by setting a large STATUS_REFRESH, with the effect that your status/queue pages will not refresh frequently.

Hope this helps.

Thanks... About a year ago I changed my default refresh rate for front page, because I also changed the number of entries displayed from a few dozens to several thousands... I just hated that I had to constantly go to Page 2, page 3 etc.

It actually works pretty well for me that way... And yes - I like to monitor what mail my users are getting :)
