Adding Heinlein-SpamAssassin-rules

Post by Patschi »

Hello,

My feature request would be to add the Heinlein SpamAssassin rules by default to the EFA. Heinlein is a quite popular german company specialized on Mail hosting and that stuff. They are supervising and hosting multiple mail projects and are offering their SpamAssassin rules for free:

Code: Select all

spamassassin.heinlein-support.de
German blog site: https://www.heinlein-support.de/blog/ne ... n-support/

Best regards,
Patrik

Just throwing this in here but I think the Heinlein rules are mostly checking for keywords and phrases in German SPAM so not sure how much benefit this would add for international users...

I think that Heinlein is a quite experienced company regarding mail servers. They're also having a mail hosting called https://mailbox.org, where the same list is in use. So I think that the rules aren't that bad, at least in my opinion.

I agree that they are experienced and I agree their list is good, I am just disputing the list will do the general public any good. I only had a quick glance at their list, there is a general check for certain types of mailers and then there are body and header rules, looking like this (random sample):

Code: Select all

header HS_HEADER_3 Return-Path =~ /^\<noreply\@direkt\-sicher\.com\>/
describe HS_HEADER_3 Heinlein Support Spamschutz Header-3 Header-Spamschutzre$
score HS_HEADER_3 5

Code: Select all

body HS_BODY_2 /Unser ING-DIBA Sicherheits Bereich investiert sehr viel Zeit/
describe HS_BODY_2 Heinlein Support Spamschutz Body-2
score HS_BODY_2 5
So as I was saying, it seems mostly geared towards GERMAN SPAM. Just my 2cents.

P.S. I have added their list to my spamassassin and have yet to see a single hit.
