Flag as spam email address?

Post by csum77 »

Hello again. Here's the next in my series of EFA noob questions...

Is it possible (or even an existing feature) to have a dedicated email address (something like report-spam@mydomain.com) be monitored by EFA and automatically add reported emails to EFA's rules?

I'd like to have this so that if a message gets through EFA but the user determines it is spam they can just forward it to the designated address, and EFA will work its magic so it learns that the message is undesirable.

I'm pretty sure I've seen that I can add a report as spam link to the email footer EFA adds so users can report them that way, but then those footer messages/options grow and that gets messy as emails are forwarded & replied to. I'm looking for ways to keep the footer to a minimum (perhaps even remove completely), but still give users an easy way to report bad email that EFA missed.

Any thoughts or feedback greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

This shouldn't be hard to implement....

It should be possible to set up a "spam@yourefahost" and then have a cron job that fetches the emails from the local mailbox and executes sa-learn against the messages on, say, a hourly basis.

That's a great idea! I'll give that a try & post my findings. Thanks Shawn!
