Hi everyone,
I installed EFA yesterday and so far as I can see it is great!
But... I ran into an issue. Three domains are working perfect, mail comes in and is delivered to my Exchange 2010 server. But on one domain doesn't work, no mail arrives at the EFA server..
I checked with the analisys tool from Microsoft, and it states:
De server retourneerde statuscode 450 - Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 4.1.2 <mail@domain.nl>: Recipient address rejected: Domain not found
Details uitzondering:
Bericht: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 4.1.2 <mail@domain.nl>: Recipient address rejected: Domain not found
Type: System.Net.Mail.SmtpFailedRecipientException
Stapeltracering:
at System.Net.Mail.SmtpTransport.SendMail(MailAddress sender, MailAddressCollection recipients, String deliveryNotify, Boolean allowUnicode, SmtpFailedRecipientException& exception)
at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(MailMessage message)
at Microsoft.Exchange.Tools.ExRca.Tests.SmtpMessageTest.PerformTestReally()
Verstreken tijd: 894 ms.
The mx-settings are almost the same for all domains.
I'm running out of options. What am I doing wrong? Is there a maximum amount of domains I can add?

3 domains work fine, number 4 not
Re: 3 domains work fine, number 4 not
You say that nothing is being received by EFA. Is there anything in the mail log on the EFA server? This should give you a clue as to what is happening.
Can you send an email directly to the Exchange server, without going through EFA using something like MultiMail2 If you cannot then check that the domain can be received on Exchange and also check the receive connector.

Hi Colin,
Thank You for Your response.
When I Telnet to the spamfilter I receive the following message:
220 spamfilter.domain.lan ESMTP Postfix
HELO spamfilter
250 spamfilter.domain.lan
MAIL FROM:rolf@domain.com
250 2.1.0 Ok
RCPT TO:kim@domain.nl
450 4.1.2 <kim@domain.nl>: Recipient address rejected: Domain not found
quit
221 2.0.0 Bye
I replaced the real domains with domain.nl/com/lan
It looks like it doesn't recognize the domain at all.
I tried something else, if I replace kim@domain.nl with kim@pietje.nl, then I receive "Relay access denied" So it looks it does recognize the domain, but wat goes wrong.
Where can I find the logs?
With regards,
Rolf Kunst

Re: 3 domains work fine, number 4 not
Can you just forget the spam filter for the moment and try to telnet directly to the Exchange server. I think it is that which is rejecting the domain.

Hi Colin,
Thank you for your response,
I figured it out! It was a DNS setting, EFA requires a DNS setting which Exchange does not need. It looks like this:
(Same as parent folder) Host (A) 10.0.0.15 static
All my other domains have such a record..
