EFA relaying mail, but no spam filtering
EFA relaying mail, but no spam filtering
The EFA system is relaying mail perfectly via PostFix, but MailWatch doesn't report any messages passing through the system, and we can send "fake spam" through it as well. Any thoughts?

What version of EFA are you using? Was it built from scratch or prepackaged?
Re: EFA relaying mail, but no spam filtering
Pre-packed, download from era about 4 days ago.
Out of the box there were some issues where MailWatch wouldn't work. Lookeed to be the mySql password. Reset mySql passwords for mailscanner and root (two others I believe) then changed in efa-config, MailScanner config and SqlBlacklistListWhitelist config
MailWatch works - don't see any errors
PostFix works - no problems
But MailWatch shows no records of mail passing through the filter, and I'm able to send fake spam right through the appliance.

It sounds like for some reason EFA-Init did not complete on your setup. Were the passwords you changed random or the default "EfaPr0j3ct"?
Re: EFA relaying mail, but no spam filtering
So I decided to flush the entire install and start from scratch.
The new install went perfectly, and everything seems to be working this time right out of the box.
The only problem now is that emails are being rejected.
Here's how I'm trying to get it to work.
Exchange server >>> EFA Appliance >>>> Smarthost (does encryptions and stuff) >>>>>> Internet
I have the sending domain name added under Mail Settings | Transport settings. Not sure what I could be doing wrong.

Are you able to resolve the name of your exchange server from your EFA?
Also, is the Exchange server allowing emails inbound from EFA?
Feel free to share the rejection info and I can help troubleshoot further.
