Some how-to questions

Post by aaste »

Hi there, this is Alessandro Again from Sardinia, just installed EFA-3.0.0.2, added my domain etc etc. I have some question that may sound obvious but if someone patient and generous can answer it would be great :)

1 - Now I have my domain in place with the correct destination server set(a exchange server already configured to accept emails from EFA). My question: is EFA going to accept *@mydomain.com emails or do I have to create some sort of allowed recipients list?

2 - Mailwatch and white list. I see the GUI to add entries in the Whitelist/Blacklist. Let's say if I need to white list mailer.somedomain.com so any email coming from that server pass without spam checking. I believe I have to put that hostname in the "From:" field. But what put in the to field? Leave it empyt or put "default" just like the predefined entri for 127.0.0.1 ?

3 - My Bayes Database Information infos read:

Bayes Database Information
Number of Spam Messages: 1
Number of Ham Messages: 0
Number of Tokens: 65
Oldest Token: Wed, 23 Jul 2003 23:30:00 +0200
Newest Token: Wed, 23 Jul 2003 23:30:00 +0200
Last Journal Sync: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 01:00:00 +0100
Last Expiry: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 01:00:00 +0100

Is that normal?

Thanks for your time and your work!!!

Alessandro.

1. Correct, EFA will accept *@mydomain.com. You will need to create a relay_recipients list in postfix if you want to limit accepting emails to known recipients.

2. Always use default

3. Yep :)
