Where to find EFA version.

Post by ramtech »

I know this will be a dumb question, but where do i find the EFA version I am on? I can't see it in the GUI and I couldn't find it in any of the settings or conf files. The GUI Software Versions Links doesn't seem to show it either.

exactly! I'm permanently logged in and shouldn't the version rather be hidden for non-logged in users in case some security issues arise? aka security by obscurity?

I agree! It's slightly better than having to run /etc/EFA-Version at the shell prompt though!

Yeah, I concur. If something is later discovered with a particular version, it is too easy to fingerprint.

I am going to move it into MailWatch interface instead.

shawniverson,

I've added a comment with some of the changes I made to the status.php page. You may or may not find them useful for you.
