Hello,
I recently lost my 3.x VM and would like to rebuild it. How can I download it?


p.s. I tried 4.x but it's too resource-hungry for my 512MB cloud VM.

512mb is pretty tight. I'm not sure that is realistic even for a v3, which I strongly encourage you not to use.

You may be able to tweak some things in v4 to help. Maybe not the 512mb you desire, but at least you can get the memory usage down. clamav-unofficial-sigs is the biggest culprit. It gets loaded into memory along with the base clamav signatures and takes a lot of memory.

Update: after some work, I noticed that even with a 1GB RAM, clamd is killing the disk and slowing everything. With an 8 CPU/SSD system. I'd recommend minimal default clamd config. That only kicks in when scanning email, not the OS/File system.
