Multitenant Outbound Relay

Post by ramtech »

Hi all.
I have a bit of a unique issue I can't find a solution to.
We have a multitenant EFA 3.0.1.5. Several of the tenants are not on the local subnet that the EFA lives on. One of the tenants is external on a Dynamic IP. For inbound mail this poses no issue as we can use FQDN (using DDNS) on the inbound firewall rules for it. No problem.
However as it has a Dynamic IP (For reasons that we have no way of changing inside many months) setting it up as being allowed outbound relay seems rather difficult and to date I have been unable to find a solution.
So in essence, I want a way for domain.com to send outbound relay mail to our EFA from a mail server on a dynamic IP (but with a DDNS FQDN). is there a way to do this? Permit Outbound relay from domain.com coming from ddns.domain.com to anywhere?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The only thing I can add further is that it seems there is no problem doing this with a static IP. even remote static IP seems to be happy. But the dynamic IP bit seems to be the point where I can't get past.

Again, any assistance gratefully received.

Bump.
Anyone. Even just telling me it can't be done would help.

Thanks again.
