Blackilisting

Post by Rob.M.P »

I have having problems when I blacklist an e-mail address. I want to blacklist the address to the whole domain

I enter the domain I want to be blacklisted in the From: and leave it blank before and after @ in the To: section. This doesn't work.

I have also tried using default after the @ in the To: section - no luck

I have tried our domain name after the @ in the To: section - no luck.

All the migrated domains whitelisted and blacklisted from ESVA are working.

From: domain
To: default

The word default is required in the to: field for this to work.

Also, restart mailscanner for the change to take effect immediately

Code: Select all

sudo service MailScanner restart

Many thanks...

Does this mean the blacklist entry only becomes recognised after a mailscanner restart?

It means that mailscanner periodically reload blacklist/whitelist from db(mysql).
In order to have new entries applied immediately you need to restart mailscanner.
