FYI. This post will probably be outdated whenever the next version of clamd/clamav comes out, but as of 7/14/18 the version clamd-0.100.0-1 was crashing after a few seconds each time it was started. This was after doing an upgrade to EFA 3.0.2.6. I doubt it had anything to do with EFA really, more of a CentOS issue I think.
I manually removed clamd, clamav, clam-db, perl-Mail-ClamAV, and spamassassin and installed the version from the EPEL testing repo, version 0.100.1-1 of all of the clam* rpms then used yum to install perl-Mail-ClamAV and spamassassin again. I also had to manually set clamd to start via chkconfig. After all of this it resolved the issue. Mail is flowing again.
Note that I did attempt a 'yum downgrade' on the clam* rpms but the repos only have the version that was crashing consistently on my system so using that option wasn't viable.
I hope this saves someone else a couple of hours.

Re: Issue with clamd upgrade to 0.100.0-1
Wow, that would have saved me some time had I seen it. My fault for only searching in the bug forum. Guess I'll restore from backup and do this then to keep everything clean. Thanks for all your work!

I actually saw that post but didn't get to the second page thinking it was mostly about the security advisory. My fault (again). Thanks for replying!henk wrote: ↑14 Jul 2018 21:42 Just read (on the last page) my upgrade steps. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2928
