Recent Messages Grid Not Displaying
Hi,
I am running version 3.0.2.6 of the EFA Appliance and have an issue searching for messages. When logging into the admin page, I see the menus and the statistics at the top of the page, but the grid that normally displays recent messages isn't displaying. I just have a blank area below the menu.
If I got to search and reports, before entering any criteria I can see the list of available reports. As soon as I enter some criteria, for example the TO address, click the "Add" button, the list of available reports disappears.
These issues in the web admin page are making it impossible to troubleshoot e-mail issues.
I look forward to any help on how to resolve this issue.

Please can someone respond to this as it's quite an urgent matter and i'm having difficulties troubleshooting without that "recent messages" grid.

What are you seeing in /var/log/httpd/*log when you try to access the page?
Re: Recent Messages Grid Not Displaying
can you post a screenshot of the reports page? https://<your-efa>/mailscanner/reports.php

Re: Recent Messages Grid Not Displaying
Over 300 thousand messages per month? Is that correct? Do you have that many users in your system?
Re: Recent Messages Grid Not Displaying
300 000 per month seems far too excessive.
Unfortunately i'm quite new to eFa so there's a lot to figure out. Is there anything else that could cause the grid to stop pulling from the database?
This started happening after the updated from 3.0.2.5 - 3.0.2.6
Thanks again for the assistance

There is too much information I do not know about your system.
Is there any way I can log into your system to diagnose it?

Still haven't seen the logfiles Shawn requested. So many logfiles available, and still ignore them

Henk,
More politely, it’s like trying to eat cake, with your hands tied behind your back, while hung from your feet upside down, while swinging vigorously, blindfolded.

Re: Recent Messages Grid Not Displaying
Sorry guys, i've been trying to figure out how to access these log files but with no luck.. Please can you assist me with a link for a guide on this perhaps?
Re: Recent Messages Grid Not Displaying
Ok, changed mode to: happy face again
1.As you mention "figure out how to access these log files but with no luck" Do you know how to access the EFA server (ssh)?
Tip: To make access fast and easy, install the MobaXterm free version https://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/download.html
Configure SSH session and log in , choose option 1. Become root: sudo su -
2.Is it virtual (Vmware or ?) or bare metal? Check config ( memory/disk)
3. In the original post by mailchilipip_CA, EFA is running on 3.0.2.6, did you install 3.0.2.6 or upgrade from earlier version?
if so, did you auto-update or manual update.
check the /var/log/EFA/update- logfiles. Big chance you will find the errors causing your issue.
4. No Linux experience? Install mc to navigate and access files Windoooows style
5. Post
6. Post
7. Post
8. Now go to /var/log and view the logfiles. ( including the mysql log in /var/lib/mysql/ or in /var/log)
9. Make backups / snapshots before changing anything.
10. Someone did install E.F.A, ask him/her/it for assisstance.
