Yeah, but it seems, that the AD integration already has setuo all these accounts, even though, they didn't log in ever since. So my question maybe shoud rather be: if an account is present in the users list, will mail arriving for it be processed?
I'd guess so… just wanted to make sure.

Re: Personal spam thresholds are ignored
Thanks - I might be mistaken, but I don't think, that I had that on ever. I have read the description carefully and I wonder what "users that don't have an account" means. As I said, we do have eFa hooked up to our AD and when I look at the user management, I do see all of our users. Is th...

Personal spam thresholds are ignored
Hi, I don't know, when this started, but I think that the update to 3.0.2.5 has caused that MailScanner disregards my personal spam thresholds, that I set up in my user preferences. In both of my installations, my private one at home and the one at work, I have set my personal spam thresholds to 3.0...

Re: Send Email with Zimbra To Efa
I actually don't know, if this will work for reverse lookups, but it he will have to add this entry to /etc/hosts anyway.

Re: Send Email with Zimbra To Efa
Well… as some kind of a last ressort, you could install dnsmasq on your eFa box and setup it's host file to contain your Zimbra's internal hostname and IP. Then you'd insert an entry for your local dnsmasq service into the eFa's resolv.conf to have it check it's internal dns resolver before reaching...

Re: Send Email with Zimbra To Efa
Login to Mailscanner and chose the WebMin link from the "Tools and Links" menu. Then chose Servers -> Postfix Mail Server -> "General Options". Find the "Local networks" setting and add the IP of your Zimbra 192.168.1.45/32 into the input field and hit "Save and Ap...

Re: Send Email with Zimbra To Efa
This error isn't related to Zimbra in any way, but to the fact, that the efa wants to reverse lookup the IP of your Zimbra MTA. You seem to run on an internal network without a proper DNS setup - well at least from efa's perspective. You can configure postfix to not perform this lookup, or you can s...

Re: Some messages are being "defaced"
Hmm… there seem to be some variants, but one has MailScanner insert a warning right into the message text like this: Data from your account has moved into a suspended state until the card is updated or the issue is fixed. You’ll want to head over to MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt ...

Some messages are being "defaced"
Hi,
users have recently complained, that messages have been delivered to their mailboxes which are somewhat broken. I experienced this as well on my private eFA with messages from TripAdvisor. Has anybody experienced this as well and if yes, does anyone know, what the reason is/was?
Thx,
budy

Re: 3.0.2.5 update failed
Yes, it tried ipv6 - don't know either, why it did that. I do now have 3.0.2.5 installed, but I had to reboot twice. Once after the initial update, which downloaded and installed the new kernel, but didn't create a new initrd. That had been done one the next reboot, which is why the system didn't pe...

I forgot to mention that… I tried after a reboot, but the update didn't get past the repo error.

Re: 3.0.2.5 update failed
Yeah - but that doesn't solve the issue of the mariadb repo being unavailable and thus even after a reboot, the systen still says 3.0.2.4.
I have not yet tried another repo for that, but that repo is - as of now - unavailable.

Re: Any thoughts on setting up multiple organizations with EFA?
Yeah, this could prove to be tough. I think that it boils down to this: if you want to hold mails for people to release, like spam and you are not allowed to get access to any message in the quarantine, that doesn't belong to your company, you will have to wind up with multiple instances of eFa, eac...

Add signatures as user option
Hi, I would like the user's db not only store the option to receive the daily spam report, but also the option to opt-in for signatures. Surely, a pure general split of either do it globally or not is sup-optimal. If I have overlooked something to configure in eFa, which already provides this, pleas...

Re: Using EFA as MX1 and MX2
Well… good question. As far as the backup-setup goes, this is usually configured by setting the MX priority for the resp. MX servers in your DNS. The MX with the lower priority will be your primary MX and the one with the higher priority will be your backup MX. However, when I had two MX records, sp...

Re: Double spam report EFA 3.0.2.4
Well… I had this issue as well. It turned out, that I had entered my user manually into the user database for testing that spam report feature. That worked very well and I went forth to setup the AD binding. After that had been successfully been done and i verified my AD account, I received a double...

How tweak the SPAM report with a date range?
Hi,
I just configured the SPAM report for my user and I wonder, if there's an option to limit this report to a date range, rather than reporting all SPAM messages, up to the chosen number of days a mail will be quarantined.
Cheers,
budy

Re: connection problem between E.F.A and Kerio
Hi,
this really looks like a network problem. Are the Kerio and eFA in the same network? If yes, then I'd check the firewall settings on the Kerio host. Maybe it's blocking SMPTfrom the eFA.
Cheers,
budy

Hello from Germany
Hi there, I just recently came across eFa, when I was searching for a replacement of my own little MX/AS/AV gateway, that I was running on some RPi at home. eFa stood out from all hits at DuckDuckGo, since it was the only one, that seemed to be actively been worked on - and it is. Already, eFa has p...
