multiple EFAs to one database
id like to see an option to have the database(s) hosted on another server, and multiple appliances access the single greylist (et al). like possibly have the web front end and the database on one node, and then the clients just accept mail and check/write to the database. i am getting this idea base...

getting forbidden error in the greylist
i am getting this message on various random clicks on the greylist, sometimes a link works, sometimes it errors. Forbidden You don't have permission to access /sgwi/connect.php on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the requ...

whitelist a single sender on greylist?
i have one sender who is on a service provided by outlook.com. outlook.com has an untold number of servers and IP addresses/networks, and no matter how many times i click and add this user/domain/ip to the database, the next attempt is still a unique entry to the greylist and held from receiving the...

Re: AD login no longer working with upgrade to Server 2016

AD login no longer working with upgrade to Server 2016
AD login was previously working great, but i just noticed today that after all my DCs are upgraded to 2016, EFA is no longer able to login. i am getting Bad Username or Password on my 3018 box, and my production 3015 box is getting an SQL error. Error executing query: 1064: You have an error in your...

ive seen similar spam deliveries before, turns out the valid email address was in the BCC field, thus why the user was getting the email.

Editing existing transport settings
Hello, i would like to see "Do you want to [r] replace, [d] delete this entry, or [c] cancel? :" also able to edit an existing entry. right now to change the destination IP address, the only way i see is to delete the entry and recreated it again. using the same domain name results in: ERR...

Re: Extremely High Mem and CPU load
how is your build... did you follow the method for "build on your hardware" exactly (with the ks.cff script), or did you do what i used to do, and use my own OS with the portions of the build script that were (i thought) relevant?

another status message could use a hostname
these would also be helpful if the hostname was included:
subject: EFA Monitor ALERT
Service MailScanner down and restarted ( 1 attempts in past day, max attempts is 3 )
Please examine your EFA logs and resources to determine cause of failure.

Re: Fail2ban
i use it in mine. historically i used to use fail2ban with all kinds of postfix regex's i wrote, but as time has passed and moved from system to system, many of them needed rewites or were becoming irrelevant. now i just use the pre-written postfix-sasl jail. here is a script i use to prep an EFA in...

im aware of that command, but not everyone uses the shell. supposed an admin thats not familiar with linux shell and syntax? the menu would do better to reflect the behavior of EFA-Update -check and EFA-Update -update.

grey listing toggled from command line?
can greylisting be toggled on/off via a command line? i am wondering if i could keep it turned on all day, then toggle off at 330pm for the end of day rush. i have a client that receives orders that all come in at the end of the day as their customers finally get POs ready, and much of that end of d...

i would like to suggest that option 14 give a pause to to confirm yes or no for upgrade after showing the target version. case in point, the other night i sat down to upgrade to a known version my other instances were running (i was intending to upgrade to 3.0.14, this was my last 3.0.11), and upon ...

backup and restore functionality
i would really love to see a backup and restore function, something that would save the entire spamassasin database as well as greylist, SSL certs, mailscanner and postfix config, etc etc, and then be able to import it back into a fresh install or deploy.

the first EFAs i deployed were on top of my own CentOS servers using the build scripts. they were catching virii left and right from day one. but my .ovf file EFA's are silent in that area. all my .ovf EFAs say: Error: no rows retrieved from database...0 and the 2 Centos i have left that i have not ...
