Re: STARTTLS Let's Encrypt bug (and manual fix).

Thanks for the report! The renew script does not update postfix paths (or apache) every 30 days, so the static mappings form your correction should work, since the "live" folder is a symbolic link. But the renew script (and the enabling of the feature) will also break the paths used to gen...

Re: DCC Server Available - advantages?

There are currently over 250 individual DCC servers within the framework. Out of those 250ish, only about 20 are public servers. Those 20ish servers handle over 500,000 individual clients each. While yes there is a single DNS name being added to DCC, it corresponds to 4 individual servers. DCC will ...

Re: Kernel Panic After 3.0.2.4 Update

Not a problem at all!! You'll want to run the check in single user mode, so it makes sure your device isn't doing anything it shouldn't be. You'll want to run it on all of the volumes you have outlined in your other snippet. Once that is done, you should also attempt to remove all other kernels exce...

Re: Kernel Panic After 3.0.2.4 Update

I also suggest you take the time to run a health check on all of the volumes within your eFa machine, and fix any potential errors, and attempt the upgrade again. I can give you those commands if you are not sure. :)

Can you run this command as sudo/root, to list all of the kernels on your box?

When booting from older kernels, how much free space is on all of your volumes?

Is this also a VM or a physical hardware device?

Re: Recent Messages Blank

You did not run the upgrade.php as sudo, you ran it as your admin user. You can either run the upgrade with sudo, or drop to the root user and run the same command again.

Code: Select all

sudo ./upgrade.php
It's odd since you specified sudo for the stopping and starting of MailScanner.

Re: How to release mails

A common misunderstanding is the "Quarantine" menu. By default EFA will store messages both good and bad. The quarantine view shows you all messages currently stored on EFA, both good and bad. if you have been receiving the email marked as not-spam within your inbox, then you have nothing ...

Did you create and allow an explicit receive connector for EFA within Exchange? That should be the preferred method.

Re: 3.0.2.3 Quarrantine and Spam Emails not working

If this was a fresh deployment, and nothing flagged as spam, you will not receive the report, even if you choose the "send now" option. You have to wait until a user has some kind of message marked as spam, and then test again.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks

Re: EFA v4

What I can tell you is that for the next several releases, the goal is to get components up-dated to the latest on v3. Also IPv6, since what was stopping us back then, is no longer an issue (for the most part, but those will be detailed later). The other issues you brought up may make it into v3, fo...

Re: 2 domains using efa ina weird way

You will add a filter to his primary account under user management in EFA. The user in theory should then receive a combined filter report for the main account (the one they sign into EFA with), and any other aliases that have been added to his account in EFA. Same holds true if he signs into the GU...

Re: EFA as a service, not a gateway?

There are many components involved with EFA that will not allow it to run as a service as you describe. Perhaps you are looking for a cloud version, or just a off-prem solution of EFA, similar to how Barracuda and Proofpoint have their cloud offerings? There is currently not a cloud platform for EFA...
