Next Major Release of EFA

For EFA version 4x, I feel like there is a need to change some things... 1) Completely RPM-based I think that efa-update and yum update methods cause issues for existing users. Those that are not familiar with EFA who try to update EFA with yum risk breaking their systems... Wouldn't it be nice to j...

Re: RBL settings - combination use - blocking vs scoring

Although Postfix RBLs are the most efficient, it does result in emails being blocked without any sort of indication. For MailScanner method: /etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf Spam List = myRBL1 myRBL2 Define RBLs here: /etc/MailScanner/spam.lists.conf myRBL1 rbl.myspamlist.org myRBL2 rbl.myspamlist....

Re: message size limit

Postfix has an default limit of 10mb. You will need to increase the message_size_limit with postconf.

Yes, go ahead and run the fix script.

Yes, you can update Webmin.

Are you referring to the Mailwatch user list? If so, we may need to submit a feature request to the Mailwatch devs for that one...

Re: 600K msgs / day / centralized quarantine?

Actually, the answer is yes, you could set up multiple EFAs to do this. I recommend browsing through the forums, as I recall at least one individual successfully clustering EFAs together...I'll take a look and see if I can gather some info and post here. I think with 600K messages/day, you are looki...

Re: EFA functionality

By default, EFA will archive all emails for 30 days (this can be changed). Piler *should* be ok, although I have not specifically tested it. Depending on your environment, I'm thinking Piler would be best suited to forward from Exchange to Piler instead of EFA to Piler, so that you can capture all i...

Re: Long Delay in Email Delivery

Do you have greylisting enabled? This will cause a minimum of 5 minutes of delay on incoming messages...

Also, make sure your EFA has plenty of CPU and memory to process incoming messages. 2 vCPUs and 2GB of ram is default, but may need increased if you are handling high volumes of messages.

Re: Release message link results in message id syntax error

You are right, the regex doesn't match. The first part of your ID is 9 characters long?

Postfix changed the id scheme in a recent version. What version of postfix are you running?
