It sounds like you have some funny messages in your mail queue that are causing the scanners to go a bit nuts.
Is there a way you could forward one of those messages to me so I can check it on my own system?

Never had that happen before. Stramge.
A very useful tip though, thanks for pointing it out in case it ever does happen.

Re: Date / Timestamp
oh! that's easy! edit your conf.php and search for DATE_FORMAT. That entry and the TIME_FORMAT entry following it can be set to whatever format you like. I've just changed mine from: define('DATE_FORMAT', '%d/%m/%y'); to: define('DATE_FORMAT', '%Y-%m-%d'); Documentation on the formats can be found h...

Re: Missing link notify spam
It's possible that your mail server ip address has been blacklisted. I'd first check to see if that is the case with the following tools:
https://www.rblmon.com/
https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
Verify that your IP is clean first.

Re: Cannot open Mailwatch
The phpinfo() test means your apache/php installation should be working correctly. The file command should return the following: /var/www/html/mailscanner/conf.php: PHP script text Since it doesn't, there might be something wrong with the format of your config.php. There should be an example config ...

Sorry henk, I understand your response now. I clearly was not having a divine day. It happens occasionally, but not being divine at that moment, I don't usually notice or remember. curibe, Some screenshots or examples would go a long way to help us get on the same page with you. I know it's clear in...

Re: Date / Timestamp
Yes, I understand now. The date stamp format for the log files is controlled rsyslogd, the message logging daemon. You'd need to create a new template with your preferred date format and restart rsyslogd. See: http://www.rsyslog.com/doc/v8-stable/configuration/templates.html but keep in mind that th...

Re: Logout from ssh and Mailwatch access
without logging into your system, it'd be hard to diagnose for me regarding your logout problem. For your webpage problem, go to /var/www/html/ directory and look for index.html. It should look like this: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>MailWatch</title> <meta http-equiv="refresh" con...

Re: Google Alerts getting Mangled
unfortunately, html mail serves as a vector for malware, and less than aware users are more likely to do something stupid. however, if the bosses fully understand the risks, then go for it. oh, is it possible to whitelist the sending address so it avoids the checks all together? hmmm... worth invest...

Re: Content filtering Rules
So you're looking for a UI that will allow you to add these kinds of rules. Considering that no one has built this before, I doubt anyone is going to do it anytime soon unless someone steps up to the plate. I see it as less of an efa feature and more of a spamassassin/mailwatch feature so the place ...

Also, what do your log files show around the time of the crash? And, as shawniverson says, look at your memory config - how much ram is configured?
