Turned out I did not have 127.0.0.1 enabled in one of the mailscanner settings. Found it by doing a Google search on
'Mailwatch release quarantine fails'

Lately started having problems when a user presses release from quarantine report the mail just gets caught in quarantine again. Also the FROM address changes to postmaster@my-domain.com. I tried whitelisting postmaster and the recipient as well as whitelisting the original sender. What got screwed ...

In EFA configure under mail settings I set my postmaster alias to be a valid email address, however when the quarantine port is sent out the from address is postmaster@my_domain.com. I went into them quarantine_report.php and hard coded the FROM address I wanted bypassing the variables. Verison 3.1....

I hard coded it in the quarantine.php. Even though there was a setting in EFA configure it did not seem to be reading my setting for that one option.

Can the sender email address be changed from postmaster@mydomain.com to something else?

Check our Filters in mailwatch. They allow aliases. In admin you go to the account you want to add aliases to and then click on Filter link where you can add aliases to that user.

It appears that this is a system wide setting and I can't disable this for a single domain.

If I have a user with 5 aliases in Filters then this person gets 5 quarantine reports nightly. Would be nice if he only received one report which included his email address and the 5 alias addresses.

Did you run 'postmap /etc/postfix/transport' ?
changes are not written until you run that command.

That one is the largest number of viruses caught in our system thats been up for less then a month. Seeing a few others but 36046 is the prevalent one

To most end users the Message Headers in mailwatch are gibberish. How about adding some javascript and make that field not displayed by default and if needed (like for troubleshooting) it could be opened by a link with maybe using + and - as the links which is pretty common on menus.

Right now I have the 'Report as Spam' link appearing on all users emails.

Is there a way to remove that link from a single domains emails?

Have a few users designated as domain administrators and none of them are being emailed nightly but regular users are. Is it supposed to work?

Mine are sent out at 3:30 am which was the default. It appears if you are a domain administrator they do not get sent to you and the admistrator does not get one as well. Subject says it all. Add to the WL the senders email address so it does not get stopped again. If the release by accident they can always go back into quarantine and delete the Wl entry.
